Fascinating article. I need to get off my butt and make an adventure.

How many hours of adventure creation, advertising, and other work did you do for Breaker of Chains? have you hit minimum wage yet? (Not sure if you guys have that over there, or how different it is from ours)

I couldn’t tell you to be honest. One thing I really need to start doing is tracking that kind of stuff, definitely.

We do have minimum wage here, which is £7.50 an hour. $172 is about £129, so I’ve earned just over 17 hours’ worth of minimum wage. I definitely did more work than that just on writing and producing the adventure. I couldn’t begin to tell you how much marketing I did, because I tend to do it as a natural part of being on Twitter and Facebook. There was definitely some time spent preparing avertising copy, Tweets and posts, which I covered in one of the articles I wrote while I was putting the adventure together. I guess you could count the time I spent writing those posts about the adventure as part of the time I spent marketing it too, which adds a pretty big chunk of time to the process and means I almost certainly haven’t earned minimum wage from this adventure yet.
