I had a similar experience with the TYOV companion volume. I opened it up and was super excited and then depressingly disappointed. I reread how Tim described it on KS and his newsletter post basically saying “Don’t open it,” and it started to sink in that this was trying to share something genuine. I don’t have my original copy of TYOV. I lent it out. Now I only have this and a heavily redacted journal.
