After a pretty hectic year, I got an email this week telling me it was time to renew Loot The Room’s domain. I’m pretty broke, so I had to think long and hard about whether I was going to ever do anything with this site. I started while a huge amount of enthusiasm and burned out pretty quickly. I tend to do that.
I debated not renewing the domain, and letting this little experiment disappear like so many others. But tonight, the last night I had to renew the domain, I decided to stick with it. I looked back at the maps I’d drawn and the articles I wrote for Critters RPG and remembered how much I’d enjoyed working on them. I want to do more of that.
So I’m making anther go at this. I’m going to spend the next week or two setting out a proper plan for the site (just for myself, so I know where I’m headed). I know that I don’t want to focus solely on maps – I want to write more articles, make cool magic items, new classes, spells, adventures, all sorts of stuff. The plan is going to be in figuring out how to do that, and do it consistently.
If you’re reading this, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. What do you want to see from a D&D/RPG resources site? What kind of things do you want in your games, what kind of articles do you want to see? Please do let me know, either here in the comments or on Twitter (I’m @pangalactic over there). I’d love to hear from you.
So, that’s all for now. No new content just yet, but it’s coming. I’ll see you there.
